On The Brightside

These colors were like citrus in the snow!

Sometimes I have no idea what inspires me to put on clothes, colors and combinations, however the inspiration was clear on this day:  to pair my fun gray beanie & snood I just got at one of my fave boutiques in Fremont –with- this beautiful orange bouclé coat my husband surprised me with a few years back!!

My thrifted donegal tweed skirt has all sorts of colored flecks in it (including yellow) so my sweater choice was easy.  Such a fun outfit to wear and with the nylons and thigh-high socks I was warm on such a white winter day.

The snow is absolutely beautiful to me, although this time of year feels sadly lacking in color.  I admit I do indulge in the black ensemble plenty during winter, but I try and push myself to bring out that color and put it on.  I find it brightens my mood as well as brings a smile to those around me.  Give it a go and see if it works for you! ;)

The outfit was first, painting second.  This picture makes my painting look red.  I assure you it is orange.  xoxo
