Big Dreams. There’s so much to say.
This Jackson Pollock-inspired painting from 2012 represents my dream to move to LA and act. I took theatre classes all through junior high and high school, and was in a commercial when I was 16. Not a shock that I declared theatre major my freshman year of college with the hopes of going to Hollywood to make my mark as an actor.
Unfortunately, I reluctantly changed my major after being encouraged to reconsider that decision. This remains one of the biggest regrets of my life. Regrets are lessons, however and can provide great inspiration.
For example, this abstract expressionist painting is full of emotion and the primary color scheme was chosen to represent the brightness of a big dream.
I encourage you all to ignore the “helpful” noise from others regarding your dreams. Listen to your own instincts instead. Nobody knows what’s better for you than you.
Follow your heart and never wonder, “what if?” And, if you do have regrets, (who doesn’t) use them for inspiration. XOXO
